[TEARS OF THE ANTARCTIC] is a work about the environmental issues we are facing nowadays. Continuous indiscreet developments have caused serious environmental problems such as global warming. The penguin as a symbol of nature is made by assembling broken electronics: earphone, cellular phone charger, electronic wires, batteries and etc. In addition, it was put on a human hand which looks like a robot’s metal parts. Nails stuck out aggressively from the melting ice, intending to evoke people to be reminded of environmental contaminations and destructions by their wasteful consumptions of advanced technology electronic devices developed dramatically in recent years.
